Sandisk and V-Gen are popular storage brands in Indonesia, especially for memory cards.
I also use one of them.
Surely like me, you’ve wondered which brand is better?

1. Storage Capacity. Sandisk has the upper hand with the availability of up to 1 Terabyte capacity for this type of memory card.
   While V-Gen currently only provides up to 512 GB.
2. Write and Read Speed.
   There are standards implemented by the SD Association regarding the write and read speed of sd card data.
   Some types of Sandisk memory cards already meet the requirements of Application Performance Class 1 (A1) and Class 2 (A2) of the SD Association.
   As for V-Gen, it has not because it is not included in the association.

   A1 is Application Performance Class 1.
   This microSD is designed to run applications just as smoothly as internal memory.
   To try the benefits of the A1 type, Android devices must be Marshmallow and above.

3. Physical Resistance.
   Both brands already feature chemical resistance, water resistance, shock resistance, extreme weather resistance, and X-Ray interference resistance.
4. Warranty.
   Sandisk provides a 5-10 year warranty on its products.
   While V-Gen provides a lifetime warranty.
   There are many V-Genservice centers in Indonesia, while the closest Sandisk is in Singapore.
5. Price.
   Based on the prices in their respective Official Stores , Sandisk has a more affordable price.
   For example, a 32 GB micro SD with the same specifications is priced at 75k at Sandisk.
   While at V-Gen it can reach 100k.

Another consideration is the different prices of the two brands in many online stores.
V-Gen tends to be cheaper if outside the official store. To be safer, always buy at the official store or a trusted store.
