(1) Not everyone is calm, polite, religious = good
(2) Not all people are messy, tattooed = bad
(3) Don’t judge people by their skin
Which formula is correct in your opinion?
In my environment, formulas 1 and 2 are true.
But is it right to be used as a benchmark or education to others?
Sometimes formulas 1 and 2 are used to make statements against injustice against certain groups.
But we can’t use that formula to educate others.
Indeed, the general public tends to give a negative view to people who don’t look good on the outside.
But what we have to change is not the idea that people should not judge others by their appearance?
If you use formulas 1 and 2, there should be another additional formula, namely:
(4) Not all people are scruffy, tattooed = good
(5) Not all calm, polite, religious people = bad
How is it?
confused right.
Some artists/public figures in Indonesia sometimes use formulas 1 and 2 to make statements about the injustice that befalls some ‘certain’ people, who are in fact included in formula 2.
Because they are in the spotlight, role models for some people, it’s good maybe they start to be wise in writing.
If the intention is to educate.
