Do you have an android smartphone? If yes, of course you have a gmail account (email from Google).
This product is the way Google spies on its users.
Then how does this work?

When the data and privacy settings in your Google account are active, it can be said that Google monitors you every day.
Of course this can take place if the internet connection on your smartphone is active.
Then what is monitored by Google?

  • Web & App Activities. Storing the activities you perform while using Google sites and apps, including information related to those activities (e.g. location), to provide faster search results, better recommendations and a more personalized experience on Maps, Search and other Google services.
  • Location History. Store the places you visit with your device, even if you are not using certain Google services, to provide personalized maps, recommendations based on the places you have visited, and more.
  • YouTube History.
Saves the YouTube videos you watch and the content you browse on YouTube to give you better recommendations, remember the parts of the video you last watched and more.

In addition to the 3 points above, there are also ad settings and search result data that we have typed in Google Search.
Can you imagine how much data Google can take from just one Google account user?

How to Turn Off

If you want to turn off this Google monitoring, here’s how.

  • Open the Google.com page from your desktop or mobile browser.
  • Sign in to your Google account.
  • Select Manage your Google Account.
or click the following link: https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy
  • Next on the Privacy & Personalization menu, select Manage your Data & Personalization.
  • There will be Activity Controls by scrolling down the screen, next select Manage your Activity Controls.
  • Next you will see a box called Web & App Activity, slide the toggle to turn it off.

There will be a notification to make sure users understand what they are doing by disabling the setting.
Select Pause.
Do the same for the other points as you wish.

By disabling this feature, users will see ads that are less relevant to their references.
Search recommendations are also less useful and the personalized experience of using Google products disappears.

But for those who prioritize privacy, turning off the option is very beneficial and worth losing the experience.

Good luck!
