Joint Decree on National Holidays & Collective Leave 2021.
The government has agreed and set public holidays and collective leave in 2021.

The agreement was stipulated through a Joint Decree (SKB) on National Holidays and Collective Leave in 2021 which was signed by 3 Ministers, namely the Minister of Religion, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of Human Resources.

Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah, Minister of Religious Affairs Fachrul Razi, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Wishnutama, and Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of PAN-RB represented by Deputy for Institutional and Governance attended the event.

Changes

“There is a slight change from what has been planned. For the Eid holiday, which was planned to start on 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, it was shifted to May 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19. So joint leave in the framework of Eid al-Fitr 2021 will be on May 12, 17, 18, and 19. Meanwhile, for Christmas there is an additional collective leave on December 27 from originally only on December 24. Thus, the total number of national holidays and collective leave in 2021 will be 23 days,” said the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture when chairing the Ministerial Meeting on the Determination and Signing of the Joint Decree on National Holidays and Collective Leave in 2021 which was held virtually, Thursday (10/9).

He explained that the determination of national holidays and collective leave in 2021 was based on various considerations.
Starting from regulating traffic flow before and after long holidays on holidays to opportunities to increase regional and state economic income from the tourism sector.

Follow-up

“I hope this can be used as a guideline for all of us. The SKB script can be signed on the improvement of the results of our meeting today,” Muhadjir concluded.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform will immediately revise Permenpan-RB in accordance with the meeting’s decision. Especially for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), the rules will be made through a Presidential Decree (Keppres), while the Ministry of Manpower will also issue a Circular Letter on the Implementation of Joint Leave in the Private Sector.(PR Kemenko PMK/EN)
