3 min read
Well, I guess there is no more time to run.
This afternoon I will learn how to interact with the children at the Santrendelik Lantern School.
A school pioneered by the Small Initiatives community.
I joined almost 4 months ago, but only as a documentation section ehehe.

And, this afternoon I was in charge of opening the activities that had just taken a month off from fasting and Eid.
Very good -_-
And, the task given by kanjeng mami is…
Ice Breaking 10 minutes.
That’s a long time for me.
haha.
Ice Breaking = breaking theice.
Ice=frozen.
Breaking the ice.
The freezing referred to here is the freezing of the atmosphere.
Ice Breaking is the equivalent of two English words that mean “breaking the ice”.
This term is often used in training with the intention of removing the ice-breaking between participants, so that they know each other, understand each other and can interact well with each other.
This is possible because differences in status, age, occupation, income, position and so on will cause a wall of separation between one participant and another.
To break down these barriers, an ice-breaking process is needed.
The purpose of this ice breaker is :
a.
The creation of equal conditions between fellow participants in the training forum.
b.
Removing barriers between participants.
c.
The creation of dynamic conditions among participants
d.
Generate excitement (motivation) among fellow participants to carry out activities during the training.
There are many methods that can be done in this ice breaking, including :
a.
Lecture Method, the trainer conducts an opening lecture first.
b.
Case Study Method, which gives participants the opportunity to take part in solving practical problems.
c. Simulation and game method, this method is the easiest method to do, the trainer prepares some games that aim to break the ice (ice breaking games) of the participants. ( I will take this method )
Things to Pay Attention to When Ice Breaking:
1. A trainer must have a strong sense of specialization when doing the ice breaking process.
He/she must know when the participants have melted or not and still have to be melted.
When the participants have not melted yet but the ice breaking has been stopped, this will be troublesome during the presentation of the next material.
2. During ice-breaking, a trainer should be able to detect (at least some of the participants have memorized) the initial potential, attitudes, traits and “special characteristics” of a participant.
3. The time allotted for ice breaking is highly conditional, depending on the level of fluidity of the participants.
4.
Ice breaker variant :
Ice breaker variants here are divided into two variants, ice breakers without media and ice breakers with media. Ice breakers without media can be interpreted as brain cooling games by not using media outside the limbs.
Meanwhile, ice breakers with media can use any media so that the game is more lively.
It seems easy, right?
Just look for examples.
Yep.
Thanks to icebreaksinyourlife, pray for me this afternoon.
